The first thing I ever did upon arrival in Moldova in 2009 was go to Pride, where I first met Eli Gordonova, Boris Balanezky-Schlütter and others. That year, it was an entirely private affair, the year after Pride 2008 was stopped by an organized mob. I can't wait for this year's events next week, and am so impressed at how far Gender Doc M, Artiom Zavadovsky, Anastasia Danilova, Angelica Frolov, Veaceslav Mulear, Наталья Урсу and team have taken this in a short 5 years, together with Doina Ioana Straisteanu and many, many others. This year, as every year, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is proudly supporting. Will be sure to be at all my favorite events, together with Anna Lungu and others.
